Got the January blues? Let’s face it, sometimes you just want to stay in and binge-watch a new TV series, especially in the colder months! But if you can’t find anything to watch, have no fear as we’re back to give another roundup of what’s new to Netflix this January.
Spinning Out
Kaya Scodelario, best known for her role as Effie in Skins, stars as up-and-coming figure skater Kat Baker in this new Netflix series. After a bad fall sees her turn in her skates as a solo skater, she gets a second chance when she pairs up with bad boy Justin (Evan Roderick) to continue her career as a pair skater. Along the way, she’ll have to overcome a number of obstacles in order to achieve her dreams.
Release date: 1st January
Dracula
Claes Bang will play Count Dracula, the infamous vampire from Bram Stoker’s iconic gothic novel in this co-production with the BBC. Dracula is made up of three feature-length instalments written by Sherlock’s Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat.

AJ and the Queen
Fan of Drag Race? Then this is one to watch! RuPaul stars as Ruby Red, a drag queen on a mission to perform in clubs across America in order to earn back some stolen savings. On her travels, she pairs up with 11-year-old orphaned AJ, and the pair set off on their adventures, helping each other deal with their challenging past along the way. Rest assured, there are lots of musical numbers involved!

Next In Fashion
This new fashion design competition series is hosted by none other than French-tucker Tan France (Queer Eye) and style icon Alexa Chung. Eighteen contestants, who have previous experience in the industry, will compete to become the next big name in fashion. The grand prize? $250,000 and a debut collection with luxury fashion retailer Net-a-Porter.
Release date: 29th January
Ragnorak
The citizens of Edda, a fictional Norwegian town, are not who they appear to be in this coming-of-age drama based around, you guessed it, Norse mythology. The dramatic climate change experienced in the town appears to be worsening, but who will save them? The six-episode series will be the first Netflix original series in the Norwegian language.
Release date: 31st January
